In his address, He Le, Director of the Foreign Affairs Office of Suzhou Municipal People's Government, stated that Suzhou is a major manufacturing hub and consumer market, boastinga solid industrial foundation and strong competitiveness in sectors such as new energy, biomedicine and intelligent manufacturing. Suzhou welcomes more high-quality Uruguayan products to enter its local market and supports Suzhou-based enterprises to invest and develop in Uruguay, so as to deepen two-way cooperation and achieve mutual benefit and win-win results.

Consul General Marcelo Magnou noted that Uruguay and China maintain long-term and stable economic and trade relations, and China has been Uruguay's largest export destination for 14 consecutive years. In February this year, Uruguayan President Yamandu Orsi led the largest delegation in the country's history to visit China, which has continuously deepened the China-Uruguay comprehensive strategic partnership and injected strong impetus into bilateral cooperation in economy and trade, agriculture, science and technology and other fields. He expressed the hope that the conference would serve as an opportunity to boost the complementarity and synergy between Uruguay and Suzhou in the industrial and supply chains, and jointly foster more cooperation outcomes that benefit enterprises of both sides.

The conference was tailored to the actual needs of enterprises, with in-depth negotiations focused on key areas such as trade expansion and industrial collaboration, effectively converting foreign affairs resources into driving forces for enterprise development. Going forward, the Foreign Affairs Office of Suzhou Municipal People's Government will continue to deepen the "Foreign Affairs for Enterprises" program, build more efficient and practical platforms for international economic and trade cooperation, assist enterprises in exploring overseas markets, and promote the continuous improvement of quality and efficiency in Suzhou's foreign economic and trade cooperation.
