Dongying NewsOn August 17, Man Shengang, Secretary of the CPC Dongying Municipal Party Committee, investigated the deep integration of sci-tech and industrial innovation. He emphasized the need to earnestly implement the requirements set forth at national and provincial sci-tech conferences, and called on all relevant parties to leverage sci-tech innovation to drive industrial innovation and accelerate the development of a high-level innovative city. At the Drilling Technology Research Institute of Sinopec Oilfield Service Shengli Corporation, Man Shengang visited the Key Laboratory for Ultra-deep Well Drilling Engineering Technology and received briefings on its work. He stressed that efforts shall be concentrated on priority areas including ultra-deep well drilling and offshore oil-gas exploration and development, and called for more breakthroughs in bottleneck technologies to advance the application of research outcomes and fuel the growth of the petroleum equipment industry. At Shandong Haike Innovation Research Institute Co., Ltd., Man Shengang learned about its R&D planning and layout in the new energy sector. He encouraged the institute to scale up research input, deepen strategic cooperation with institutions of higher learning and research institutes, roll out more products with core competitive edges, and achieve high-quality corporate growth powered by high-level innovation. At Shandong Harway Pharma Research Institute Co., Ltd., Man Shengang was briefed on advances in pharmaceutical sector innovation. He urged the enterprise to pursue innovation-driven growth and green manufacturing, pool strengths for R&D of innovative medicines, and strive to build a leading pharmaceutical brand. At Shandong Yonglijinggong Petroleum Equipment Co., Ltd. and Shandong ComeRiver Power Technology Company Ltd., Man Shengang reviewed their production and R&D operations. He encouraged the enterprises to stay rooted in the real economy, focus on core business, ramp up R&D-driven innovation, and grow into specialized, refined, distinctive and innovative enterprises.
Man Shengang emphasized that departments at all levels shall fully implement the innovation-driven development strategy, deploy innovation chains alongside industrial chains, foster high-caliber innovation platforms and new-type R&D institutions, and effectively drive industrial upgrading and improvement. Efforts shall be made to highlight enterprises as the principal players of innovation, guide them to pursue practical, pragmatic and result-oriented approaches, leverage external momentum, expertise and resources, and boost their R&D capacity as well as the application of innovation outcomes. Equal priority shall be given to refining the sci-tech innovation service system, strengthening policy support and factor guarantee, attracting and cultivating more high-caliber innovative talents, and fostering a sound innovation ecosystem.
